Once Upon a Time: Discovering Füsun Onur’s Extraordinary Art at Museum LudwigArtTalks November 2 at 10:30 + December 7 at 18:30
Greetings ArtTalking enthusiasts,
In the world of contemporary art, where boundaries blur and creativity knows no limits, there emerges a talent who defies categorization – Füsun Onur!
Join us at Museum Ludwig for a retrospective journey into the wonderful realm of this innovative Turkish artist.
Füsun Onur’s art transcends genres, creating a fusion of sculpture, space, and surface. Her work is a testament to the influence of Istanbul, her muse, as well as, the many years she spent studying in the USA, where her artistic horizons expanded.
“Wherever I go, I carry Istanbul in me”, Onur says, infusing her artistic work with a profound sense of place and belonging.
Like the tranquil waters of the Bosphorus River 〰️, the color blue flows through Onur’s installations, collages, and sculptures, imbuing them with a sense of serenity and reflection. As we explore her works and installations, we’ll uncover a poetic tapestry woven with references to music, textiles, miniature worlds, and even hints of Alice in Wonderland.
Don’t miss this chance to dive into the world of Füsun Onur’s artistry. Join us at Museum Ludwig, on November 2 at 10:30 am or December 7 at 6:30 pm and let’s unravel together the compelling stories behind her art.
Artful greetings,
Karla 🎨📚✨
