Museum Ludwig May 2th at 10 + 18.30 hArtTalk Nil Yalter: Exile is a hard Job

Rewind to the last ArtTalk: 300 Years of American Art. We experienced a large variety of artistic outcomes following mass immigration and pioneer movements in the US.

Museum Ludwig’s new show Exil is a hard Job provides a convenient bridge to our current realities. The artist Nil Yalter’s delivers a powerful artistic investigation of immigration here in Europe. She’s a different kind of pioneer, who experimented with installations and technical tools—like video—way before it was considered arty. She integrates the voices of her subjects in a totally unique and lyrical manner. A must-see first retrospective of her fascinating work!

The relationship between people and places is the dominant discourse in the work produced by the Paris-based Turkish artist Nil Yalter over the course of her more than 50 year career.

Here an insightful article, if you want to learn more about Yalter before the ArtTalk.

Hope you’ll join us at 10 or 18.30 for this landmark show!

NEW: I’ve totally refreshed my AT website!

USE the link to register and do the pre-payment via bank transfer!

If you’d like to join the ArtTalks, first decide your Arttalk time, register via this link and transfer 18€ to the account given, latest 2 days before the ArtTalk takes place. This allows me to invite others to take part, should there be a waiting list. And, after more than 5 years, I’ve adjusted my rates to 18 € for the 1.5—2 hours ArtTalk. Students and kids are still (4€). There is a maximum of 15 ArtTalkers per event to keep things cozy and the acoustics better.

Thank you for your understanding. This small effort on your part reduces a lot of organization on mine!

Do join us for Nil Yalter’s provocative perspective, sign up via the new links and let’s talk about inspiring Art!
