Dear ArtTalker Community,
Happy New Year! May 2024 bring you peace, happiness, and a canvas full of inspiring moments. 🎨
First off, a heartfelt thank you for your active participation in voting for our next ArtTalk. The competition was close, with both options receiving an equal number of votes. Exciting, right? So, in the spirit of inclusivity, I’m thrilled to announce that we will explore both! 🏻
Join me on Thursday, February 1st for two ArtTalks, one in the morning or evening for an engaging session centered around Kaspar König’s donation to Museum Ludwig.
Kasper König, a visionary in the art world, profoundly influenced Museum Ludwig during his tenure as museum director. He curated a collection that became a of contemporary cornerstone art, bringing to light influential artists and shaping the museum into an internationally acclaimed institution. His legacy extends to fostering a dynamic art community in Germany, marked by innovative exhibitions and a broadened public engagement with modern art. In close consultation with the museum, König selected some fifty works for his donation.💡👏🏻
And there’s more! Mark your calendars for March 07, when we’ll head on over to the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum &Foundation Corboud for the Collectors’ Dreams, “Glorious Moments in Netherlandish Baroque Art”
The exhibition is a magnificent journey through time, showcasing masterpieces that capture the essence of the Baroque era with its dramatic, intricate, and emotive style.
What a fantastic lineup we have ahead! 🥳☺️
