Dear ArtTalkers,

Upcoming the next ArtTalk at Museum Ludwig on **October 3**!

This time, we’ll dive into the fascinating world of **Chargesheimer**, a Cologne photographer who transformed how we see everyday life in the city. 📸 Known for his iconic photo books, _Cologne intime_ and _Unter Krahnenbäumen_, Chargesheimer captured the spirit of post-war Cologne like no one else. His gritty, unvarnished portrayal of life on the streets gives us a unique window into the city’s history and people.

But that’s not all! For the first time in 30 years, we’ll also see his **kinetic sculptures**, the _Meditationsmühlen_. These Plexiglas works reflect the balance of chaos and control, blending art and mechanics in ways that are as hypnotic as they are groundbreaking.

**Plus**, we’ll kick off the ArtTalk with the latest **Schultze Project frieze**, featuring artist **Kresiah Mukwazhi**. Her powerful new work tackles themes of patriarchal violence and female empowerment.

Interested in joining me for the [**KunstBewusst** lecture in English](https://kunstfreunde.koeln/events/afrika-filmfestival-meets-kunstbewusst-artist-in-focus-kresiah-mukwazhi/) **featuring Kresiah**?\
**Date:** Sept. 24, 2024\
**Time:** 6:00 PM\
**Venue:** Museum Ludwig Kino Saal\
(No sign-up needed!)

For the ArtTalk, we’ll meet in the central foyer, and remember—no large bags. 😊 I can’t wait to explore Chargesheimer’s world and Mukwazhi’s impactful work with you all. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Artful greetings,\
Karla
