Greetings ArtTalk Enthusiasts, 🎨

Before everyone takes off for the holidays, I’m here to shake the tambourine for our first ArtTalk of 2025! 🥁

In celebration of the 200th anniversary of Cologne’s “museum father,” Ferdinand Franz Wallraf, the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum presents A Museum of Museums. This groundbreaking exhibition dives into how art is exhibited, interpreted, and—most importantly—seen. From elaborate cabinets of curiosities to radical installations by artists like Daniel Spoerri and John Cage, this exhibition offers an exciting journey through time, exploring the evolution of museum curation and the experience of seeing art.

We’ll dig into why “seeing” is so much more than simply looking. 🔍 What do we really notice when we view art? How does the museum context shape our perception? Together, we’ll explore these questions, uncovering new insights into how art resonates with us personally.

Regular ArtTalk 25€; Kids/Students/Artists 5€; KölnTag: 1st Thursday monthly, Wallraf entrance free with Cologne ID. Non-Kölners pay a reduced museum entrance.

Please transfer the ArtTalk fee with your registration a week before the ArtTalk. If you pay and cannot attend,let me know before the date where I can transfer your money back to you.
