ArtTalkers Christmas special newsletter!

ArtTalkers Christmas special newsletter!

Dear ArtTalkers,

Before the roaring 20’s move us into the next decade, I want to wish you a happy holiday season and thank all of you for your participation in the 2019 ArtTalks! You all continue to come and share your ideas about art, life and surprise me with your good questions. Thank you!

And a warm thanks to the regular ArtTalkers who have generously contributed their time in taking and sharing photos. Others have “volunteered” to write about what they experienced. The highlights of our ArtTalk in November on “What Entrepreneurs can learn from Modern Artists” were captured in an insightful and well-written review by Oonagh Sweeny. Be sure to read her article on the November ArtTalk in Museum Ludwig.

The next ArtTalk will take place on Feb. 6th at 10.00 + 18:15 h (!)

Inside Rembrandt. 1606 – 1669

Wallraf-Richartz-Museum & Fondation Corboud

SAVE the date. Thursday February 6th. More information to come in 2020!

My pre-Xmas treat to you all. In this newsletter, a little a preview to our February ArtTalk with three of Rembrandts paintings I was privileged to enjoy live in the Mauritshuis. The Mauritshuis is home to the very best of Dutch Golden Age painting and is a must-see if you visit Den Haag!

I’ll sign off with a telling quote attributed to Rembrandt:

“Of course, you will say that I ought to be practical and ought to try and paint the way they want me to paint. Well, I will tell you a secret. I have tried and I have tried very hard, but I can’t do it. I just can’t do it! And that is why I am just a little crazy.”

Come and get inspired with us by good art and some crazy ideas in 2020!

Artful wishes,
Karla
