It´s a premiere! The first ArtTalk in the MAK! Focus on the crossover of art and design as beautifully demonstrated in innovative presentation of the Winkler collection in the MAK (Museum für Angewandte Kunst). Following the Cologne IMM furniture trade fair and the “Passages” shows, we´ll turn our attention to the multi-faceted field of design. We´ll tour the new rooms of the MAK and discover design pioneers, the beginning of industrial design and look at how some well-known 20th century artistic positions contributed significantly to the aesthetic interfacing in this field. Highlights of this extraordinary collection are many; from paintings by Piet Mondrian and Kandinsky to works by the all-round genius Frank Lloyd Wright and Philip Stark.
